Today Ashlyn spent the day with her uncles. Uncle Jared, Uncle Seth, and Uncle Geoff. Grandma and grandpa sped off to Lava for our day alone. Finally. Alone.
Ashlyn played, napped, ate, sang, watched Bolt on DVD (thanks free Redbox movies!) and finally went to bed. Her bedtime conversation went something like this:
Ashlyn: "I want Geoff, I want movie, .I want Geoff.........My Momma's FREAKIN' OUT!" (What?! )
Me: "You're momma's not freakin' out. She's fine. She's at work".
Ashlyn: "SHE'S FREAKIN' !" "She's really mad".
Me: "What?" "Why?" ...............
Ashlyn: "...I have a belly button"
Me: "I know you have a belly button, you're mom gave it to you".
Ashlyn: "My mom gave me a belly button? She give Dallas one too?"
Me: "yep". "And I gave your dad one".
Ashlyn: "you gived my dad one, and my mom gave me one, and Dallas. We have a belly button too".
Me: "yep".
Ashlyn: "Good night".
And she was out like a light. Conversations with 3 year olds at bedtime can be more entertaining than most anything on television.

Just a Few Friends

She's got that bed stuffed full. Somewhere in there is a picture of Dallas that she hugs and kisses until she falls asleep. She also sings herself to sleep, mostly "kiss the girl". Can you see those little duckies on the bottom sheet. Those were Ryan's sheets when he was about 14. I thought Ashlyn might like them.
Thanks to Jeremy's cousin Holly for letting us borrow the toddler bed. It's in our room under the window right next to our bed. She likes it there. She showed it off to Jeremy's 3 year old cousin Aysha today. There was a jumping party until mean grandpa insisted they stop. Mean grandpa.
St. Patrick's Day
She's an Artist!
And her hair is her medium................
BEFORE

AFTER

Thanks to Michelle at Mark of Excellence for the fix. We usually go to Shari B., but she has a new 1 week old adopted baby boy. We are excited for her family. Ashlyn's hair looks great and we can cover the rough spots with cute hairbands until her hair grows back. A few more trims and it should be evened up nicely. NOW.......please use paper when you want to cut. :)
Kiss the Girl

Ashlyn played doctor with the kitties. She also petted them and carried them around the house. She chased them until they hid from her under the bed. They're getting used to her and are starting to want to play. Oreo especially.
Monday we went shopping at Once Upon a Child and found some cute things, then finished up at K-Mart for socks and undershirts. She' s lookin' good! We listened to "Kiss the Girl" from Little Mermaid while driving. She's been singing it ever since.
